Title: High top advice
Post by: Eas25 on January 24, 2019, 08:59:50 AM
I haven't actually measured it myself but what i can find on google is that my '95 Chevy g20 hightop is 7'1/2. I'm moving to San Jose and the employee parking lot is a garage lot. The max heigh for the garaget is 7'. I was wondering if anyone would be against me  taking some air out the tires would help get me in the garage? Is there a better alternative?

Greetings!

You can't take 6" of air out of tires or they'll be flat.  It is also likely your van is higher than 7.5 feet.  My low top Dodge van is 7.5 feet, and most high tops are 9+ feet.

For times I can't park as close as I like, I have a small electric scooter.  It can be folded and taken with me anywhere, and it has a 15-20 mile range, and will go about 20mph.  I can  charge it at work.

If I find myself working in a downtown area, congested area, or an area where parking is difficult, I find my little scooter to be a great alternative.

Cheers!
