Title: introduction to my yellow van Kevin
Post by: Andrewkru on February 11, 2015, 01:53:38 PM
Hi people.

my name is Andrew, i have always wanted to convert a camper van and late last year i purchased an Ex-aa van (t5)bright yellow named Kevin it took me about 3 months to convert. I mainly used pre-constructed stuff/flat packed stuff. I loved the experience , i learnt so much.

i do have more thinks to add like a rear camera for parking and pv panels.

Since converted i think i have spent around 10 days in the van all in wild places in devon and cornwall. i have thoroughly enjoyed the experience of wild camping. i cannot wait for the summer we are planning to take Kevin to france spain and portugal for the start.

Im looking forward to getting to know other people on this forum, sharing and learning from other peoples experiences.

i did try and post a photo but the KB restriction is really low.

Hi Andrew
just wanted to say I think the name Kevin for a campervan is perfect. :) Mine once delivered flowers........ but so far she remains nameless! Hope to see photos of your conversion. Am light years away from figuring out how to download pics - but will get there eventually!

Hello Andrew

Good to see you mate, I'm from west Cornwall. If you need a map detailing about 50 wild camping spots to park up for the night down here, all but one of which is free, and most if not all are in beautiful hidden away locations let me know.

I created a map ages ago, the link is still live and I've made it quite detailed showing everything you need to know about each location in advance.

PM me if you need it. I know west Cornwall literally like the back of my hand and a lot of the rest of the county too. Plus a few good places to park overnight on both Exmoor and Dartmoor as well.

All the best,

Mark
