Hey everyone! I've been lurking for a while. Long story short me and my girlfriend are gonna buy a van and tour Europe in it... oh my, finding a van is tough though; not our field of expertise to be honest. Here's the last lot of MOT advisories from a van we're looking at. Is this too much? It's a 2001 ldv convoy, with plenty of character...

nearside front Brake pipe slightly corroded (3.6.B.2c)
offside front Brake pipe slightly corroded (3.6.B.2c)
offside rear Brake pipe slightly corroded load valve to flexi (3.6.B.2c)
offside front Brake hose has slight corrosion to ferrules (3.6.B.4e)
Steering system has slight free play detected at steering wheel (2.2.A.1a)
nearside rear inner Tyre worn close to the legal limit (4.1.E.1)
nearside front Axle king pin has slight play in pin and/or bush (2.5.A.3a)
nearside Front wheel bearing has slight play (2.5.A.3c)
underside of vehicle has slight corrosion throughout

...a lot of rust... too much?

pass on it could cost a lot of money if you cant diy

It's only worth touching a near rust free LDV convoy in my opinion. The brakes will be a costly fix too

I'll be honest here... We bought it.

Spent most of today sifting through rust trying to make a strategy. Will post photos in the conversion part at some point.

Wish me luck   ::)
