Hi everyone , im getting out of the 4 wheel drive camping and into the van camping , i cannot decide what to buy

My budget is 15,000 and im thinking either a Ford transit or a Merc Sprinter

I want a high roof lwb so i can have a bed setup but still have room for a little kitchen up front

I want something reliable and im skeptical with the transit but im open to opinons

My apologies for the belated reply, your message escaped me amidst all the spam problems.

I keep reading about tons of problems with Sprinter, Transit, and ProMaster vans.  I don't think I'd buy any of them at this point. 

I think I'd go with an older Class B factory camper van.  I see quite a few of them for under $10k, many even in the $5k range.  Cheaper than you can build your own, and ready to go.

If stealth in the city isn't an issue, I'd consider cheap Class C's too.  More room, yet still easy to drive.
