I thought I'd keep it country specific and ask where people have traveled in the UK that's been worth a visit.

It can be for many different reasons that its fun, doesn't just have to be in your van and pictures are always welcome!

I'll start, Glastonbury Tor and the surrounding area. I would recommend it to all travelers and lovers of the great outdoors!

Certainly, I used to live in Ashwell lane, side of the Tor. Shame they closed the c/site at the end of the road, it was a laid back one.

I visited Glen Clova the other day and walked upto corrie fee.
It is in the cairngorms about 15-20 miles north of Forfar.
The whole area is awesome.
If you are into exciting sports etc there is Glen Shee ski centre about half an hour away, if you have no gear it works out about £60 for the day and they have (might need to pre book) parking and hook up for motorhomes/camper vans.
Scenery is mind blowing.

If you want to visit my neck of the woods in the far south west you're going to be spoiled for choice. I'm in west Cornwall btw and know the area like the back of my hand including dozens of places to park up for the night many locations with spectacular views. Whatever floats your boat it's all here.

From majestic towering cliffs to sleepy little coves, pretty little fishing villages to parking spots by any one of a number of rivers, from high moors to wherever you want your imagination to take you. Just Google "Cornwall UK" and click on Images and then select whichever images appeal to you, for example: Beaches, Coastline etc;.

I also love it upcountry in that far away mysterious land they call Devon in England over the other side of the River Tamar. (Emmet country) ;D

Dartmoor I love and up in the north of Devon it's absolutely beautiful all around Exmoor.

Up in the north of England the Lake District is obviously beautiful but a little too twee for my liking, so last time I was up that way I mooched on up the west coast of Scotland spending some time on the Isle of Skye and later on in the autumn in Ross Shire before heading up to the north coast where it was perishing cold.

One day after a particularly windy night after phoning friends back in west Cornwall with them telling me they were still sunbathing on the beach, I though stuff this malarkey and hot tailed it back to west Cornwall smartish (52mph for 16 hours returning 48mpg). 24 hours later I was chilling out on one of the hundreds of beaches down here. Bloomin' lovely.

The North-East of Scotland is well worth a visit, particularly the Buchan and Moray  coastlines.  The Cairngorm National Park is right on our doorstep as well.  You can find some photos of my travels here http://www.madridman.com/forum/ubbthreads.php?ubb=showflat&Number=93765#Post93765
