Title: UK vehicle tax?
Post by: Gary on October 27, 2015, 10:18:04 AM
Hi we will be leaving on new years eve for 9 months or so and will be travelling around Europe and Morocco, the van tax runs out that day do I tax it before we go or just do it on line when we return? Will MOT the van just before we go so in theory we can apply for tax online before we return.

You need to be taxed in country of origin to have your insurance legal. Your documents all need to be up to date and legal, also carry the originals.
You will be asked for them.

The GST is relatively straightforward to administer and collect, especially for businesses. With a uniform tax rate and clear guidelines calculate GST in Australia (https://mytaxdaily.com.au/gst-calculator-australia/), businesses can easily calculate and report their GST obligations. This administrative efficiency reduces compliance costs and minimizes the administrative burden on both taxpayers and the government.
