Lived in Spain for over 8 years, the reasons why the bars are there is they are open most of the summer, day and night. Wild parked from Lisbon to Gib, up thru Sitges and over to Santander, no probs.
Been doing this for over 20 years, just stay street wise and suss each place out.

Go to Youtube and ask your question, you will be surprised how many peeps video upload that sort of stuff. Usually works for me.

Hiya and welcome aboard.
Better move Souf to the coast soon. They reckon a long hard winter is a coming.
Lack of funds this year or I'd really heading for the proper South, Spain.

Hopefully the van is a light colour, pref: white, dark colours are a no, no, in hot climates.
Also insulate with Kingspan, not only for the cold but to keep out the heat.
Try touching an un-insulated ceiling in the mid-day sun, tre blistering.

Welcome aboard, where are you based.

You need to be taxed in country of origin to have your insurance legal. Your documents all need to be up to date and legal, also carry the originals.
You will be asked for them.

Hi and welcome aboard.
Don't know how you are getting there, but January is pretty challenging, across France and the top of Spain the weather is usually pretty dire. That's why many peeps are deep South by early November.
Only a few ferries do the winter run to Santander and they are mega expensive.
Not trying to put you off because last year the weather was very kind and it was no probs if you had heating.
Start earlier and get down the the South coast before Xmas, that way you can mooch along at your own pace.
Better still go now ... luvverly jubberly... 8)

If it looks like your shortest route, that will have to be it.
Gotta Transit and my VB is under my seat, just had to run it to the passenger seat, so no probs.
