This has possibly been answered a thousand times and I've looked on YouTube as I'm not electrically minded at all.
My Renault Trafic currently has led lights and 12v socket that runs off the main starter battery. It also has 240v hook up option.
But I want to install a leisure battery for wild camping purposes so that I can my features (obviously) without draining the battery. Hoping for TVs/DVDs, music, lights etc...
Also, I need to install a fridge. Do I need a vent?

Thanks

Van Conversion / Podcast Interview
April 04, 2016, 08:17:56 PM
Hi guys

I'm new to the Van-Dog forums, as I explained in my introductory post, I'll soon be leaving work to join the van life family so expect a few posts about van modifications and tricks and tips for travelling mainland Europe.

One thing I'd be interested in, is doing a podcast style interview / chat with someone who is relatively experienced in all this giving up the 'normal' life to become a 'vanderer' type thing. I have a podcast which I publish from time to time on different topics from history to music to sport, but I'd be really interested to do one with a 'vanderer'. If you fancy it, please drop me a private mail and we can sort something out, have a chat etc then if you feel comfortable we can do something via Skype so I can record it into my little ROLAND recorder.

Many thanks

Regards Alex

Common Room / New HOBO

Evening guys and girls
Just introducing myself as a soon to be new member of the Van-Life community.

I've recently handed my notice in at work and will be making (some sort of...) plans to trek around mainland Europe in my recently purchased Van.

I've been looking for a couple of months at various models and the pros and cons of each that have took my eye, but I bit the bullet on a Renault Trafic which itself looks and feels like a sound van, but does require some modifications.
So look out for my posts regarding the mods and I'll look forward to taking your advice on all the technical input.

OK take care.

Regards Alex
