Van Conversion / self-adhesive floors and heat?
May 08, 2018, 08:21:29 PM
I've ripped out the old carpet and lay down a plywood foundation in my van, I'm considering what to put down on top of it.

It seems like those floating wooden floors are the floor of choice but I was wondering about the floors that have adhesive on the back.  I live in Georgia so it's going to get hot inside that van occasionally. Will those self-adhesive floors work with the extreme heat inside a van in the summer?

Thanks

Home Depot sells Southern Pine Asphalt Impregnated Board. The ad claims it has heat and sound dampening qualities. Could I use this for my subfloor and not worry about adding additional sound dampening material

Van Conversion / Sound dampening?
April 16, 2018, 03:14:55 PM
I am new here. I live in Atlanta and have a 93 g20 conversion van. I use the van for a variety of things but want to use it as a mobile office as well. I have just started the conversion

I am looking for something to use as sound dampening for a conversion van that I just pulled out the nasty floor carpet.

Ideally, it would be something that would work between the wood subfloor and the top flooring? The top flooring will be some fake wood floor that you might put down in the kitchen

Thanks
