The North-East of Scotland is well worth a visit, particularly the Buchan and Moray  coastlines.  The Cairngorm National Park is right on our doorstep as well.  You can find some photos of my travels here http://www.madridman.com/forum/ubbthreads.php?ubb=showflat&Number=93765#Post93765

A mini-convoy sounds like a great idea.  It's a pity that my starting point is at the other end of the country!  :(
A couple of years ago, we had a mini convoy touring France, Belgium and Holland for three weeks.  Thoroughly enjoyed it.

Hi Anita
Still some time to go before you head off but nevertheless, have a great trip when the time comes.  Keep us updated if you can.  Oh ... and don't miss out the NE of Scotland, especially the Buchan Coast than the Moray Coast

Hi Mike
Here are some suggestions for sub-forums (just a few). Yourself and others may have different ideas, these are just mine 'cos I like a bit of structure (old-fashioned I'm afraid  :P)

In the Van Conversion section, sub-forums might include:
- My Conversion Project
Purpose would be for folks to display photos and record the progress of their own conversions)

- Wanted and For sale
A classified section (anything from accelerator cable to Z clips

- Habitation Electrics
- Habitation Gas and Plumbing
- Habitation Furnishings and accessories
Purpose would be for folks to post hints, tips, ideas, questions, problems etc

- Guides and how to ...
How to fix...

- Mechanical advice
Self explanatory

In the Living and Travelling in a Van section, subs might include

- Out and about in my van
Folks could post their ongoing trips

- Wildcamping Locations
For posting information about places they stop over

- Campsite reviews

In the common room, subs might include..

- new members section
For new members to introduce themselves

- members vans
For members to post photos of their vans

- Insurance and breakdown deals

Mike - it is your forum and these are just suggestions for the throwing out!

Hi Hans
I've spent a lot of time holidaying in South of Spain, mostly on the Mijas area. I really like the lifestyle down there. Enjoy your time there.

Hi Patti
Welcome. I've never been to the States but please don't hold that against me :-) The furthest west I've been is Nova Scotia

Hi Stephen
Lots to see and do north of the border. The west coast should not be missed. I do a lot of wild camping in the North East of Scotland, some great places there. What is the base vehicle for your van?
