Title: Fridge in an LDV minibus
Post by: Jaymac on July 23, 2017, 07:15:30 PM
Hey guys!

Quick question. I am currently converting an LDV Convoy Minibus and am cutting all the necessary holes out for vents, rooflights etc. I went to measure and cut out the 3 way fridge vents, but due to where the window is located, the top vent will sit lower than the fridge 'exhaust' pipe. I read somewhere that this needs to be 55mm higher than the fridge but the window on the bus makes this unachievable?! Is this correct? Is this vent an exhaust for burnt off gas or just for heat expulsion? Has anyone else had this issue with a minibus and if so what did you do to overcome? Can the vent sit lower than the fridge exhaust to the outside? Any help on this is much appreciated!

Thanks in advance!

James.

Greetings & Welcome!

Without knowing what fridge and the specs, it's pretty much impossible to give any intelligent answers...

Cheers!

Hi Dan!

It's an Electrolux RM212 if that helps? I attempted to attach some photos but fell at the first hurdle...

Thanks,

James
