Title: Planning a trip.
Post by: Hdutton on January 18, 2017, 09:23:21 PM
Hi
Me and my Girlfriend are planning to get a van and start the Van Life, but I was wondering how people plan the route they are going to take. Or do you just go where ever you want.
Thanks a lot for any help.

A lot of it can depend on if you have a specific destination or not, as well as a time line or not.  Weather & road conditions should be considered as well.

Once all that is figured out, plan for a leisurely drive with time to detour along the way if something looks interesting.

There are fun things to see and do almost everywhere, no matter what your tastes are, if you  seek them out.

I'll add to what Camper_Dan says, don't just head quickly for the well known tourist destinations but work your way slowly towards them, if that is what you are planning to see, but stop when you see something that might looks interesting, different or unusual. You get a better experience of an area when you mix, chat and eat with the locals.
