Krka National Park, Croatia – in 7 photos

Croatia has 8 national parks, covering an a total area of 384 sq. miles. I went to 2 of them: Krka and Plitvička (see this post).

Over the water and through the forrest

Home to 18 different species of fish, 10 of which are unique to this region

There is a massive clear natural pool

There are 17 cascaded waterfalls

A total height of nearly 50m

This is further up the river to a place called Bristane. I camped up here for the night

This is the Visovac monestary on the small island of Visovac, which is about 170 x 120 meters in size
