Hi all, I've just joined my name is Sii, I'm Australian and I'm currently in Europe and looking to buy a van for a conversion to live in. But I want to ask if anyone can help me.with some actually quite basic issues I'm having... Please keep reading

I'm looking at Maxi vans or Box vans 3500kg (car licence)

I am leaning towards box vans for Thier straight walls and larger space, also one with a tail lift as I can use it like a "portch". And I think it's a more usable space.
They don't seem the have the Luton box vans here, just the starboard box van with doors on the rear and or a taillift.

The issue I'm having is that the box vans over hear seem to have a payload of only aprox 750kg 😱😲😲...   That's a useless weight and doesn't seem right to me. (You Check what I mean on www.truckscout24.com and www.autoline.info)

Eg. A Merc. sprinter maxi van has a payload of around 1.2 -1.4t

A Merc. Box van (has a larger cargo area) has a payload of 750kg ish

That means that just the box on the van weighs and exuberant amount and it just doesn't seem right to me... I'd fire the person who designed a box so heavy on a cab chassis. Haha

Does anyone know if this is accurate?
I really want to use the box van but at that payload weight it's pointless for basically any type of cargo except maybe pillows...

Any help, advice or knowledge anyone can give me on this would be fantastic thanks so much and I'm looking forward to.your replies
