Van Conversion / Lino vs Carpet
March 17, 2016, 10:33:19 AM
So... We've got our lwb high top convoy, it's currently lined with carpet on the floor but we're addressing some damp issues and refitting a few things anyway, so it's likely the carpet is coming off.

The question is, what do people think about lino on the floor?

I've been thinking that lino is much easier to clean - we're going to Europe for a while so would like something that is easy to maintain on the go. What are peoples opinions? What's better in certain scenarios? Any experiences and thoughts will greatly help.

Hey everyone! I've been lurking for a while. Long story short me and my girlfriend are gonna buy a van and tour Europe in it... oh my, finding a van is tough though; not our field of expertise to be honest. Here's the last lot of MOT advisories from a van we're looking at. Is this too much? It's a 2001 ldv convoy, with plenty of character...

nearside front Brake pipe slightly corroded (3.6.B.2c)
offside front Brake pipe slightly corroded (3.6.B.2c)
offside rear Brake pipe slightly corroded load valve to flexi (3.6.B.2c)
offside front Brake hose has slight corrosion to ferrules (3.6.B.4e)
Steering system has slight free play detected at steering wheel (2.2.A.1a)
nearside rear inner Tyre worn close to the legal limit (4.1.E.1)
nearside front Axle king pin has slight play in pin and/or bush (2.5.A.3a)
nearside Front wheel bearing has slight play (2.5.A.3c)
underside of vehicle has slight corrosion throughout

...a lot of rust... too much?
