Hello, my fellow van lifers!
Question?
Where did you purchase your beloved home?
I was thinking about heading to a local car auction to get my sweet beloved home. I have sought out looking on my local craogslist ad but haven't found anything promosing.

Greetings!

Public auctions are usually a poor idea.  Anything that's good goes for too high, and what's left is junk.

Craigslist is about  the best.  If you can't find something close, then expand the area of your search.  Passenger vans are usually in far better condition than cargo vans, and also make far better camper vans.

If you go older like 70's & 80's vans, you'll get the best built, and most reliable vans in the world.  You want pre-computerized, for less to go wrong them.  They are also lower maintenance, and really built to last.  Parts are cheap and readily available.  Just beware of rust, everything else is easily fixable.

Good luck & keep us posted!
