Title: Shower panels
Post by: choppy on February 25, 2018, 11:23:47 PM
Greetings all,

I'm having trouble finding some sort of reasonably priced plastic/acrylic/melamine waterproof panels for shower walls. Is 40 -60 quids for 2400 x600 the best out there ? Originally thinking of building in marine ply and flo or gel coating but panels cut to size would be easier and more option for some fancy bits.
Any ideas gratefully received
And thanks in advance.

Greetings & Welcome!

I just use a shower curtain for mine...

The builds that I liked the best used cove moldings in the corners, then single sheet waterproof linoleum flooring on top.  This created a continuous wall, with curved corners so there were no seams or leaks.  Should be cheap enough, with tons of designs available.  I really like those rounded corners, easy to clean, and nowhere to collect gunk and grime.

Good Luck & keep us posted!

This is the stuff I'm going to use - 2mm thick food grade pvc.

I'm sure the price there doesn't include vat but 20 odd quid for 2400-x1200 sheets seems reasonable
