Title: Taxing a newly bought campervan
Post by: Quirkus on September 13, 2023, 05:56:26 PM
Hello everyone, I've got a question regarding taxing a second-hand Iveco Daily I've just bought.

I'm collecting the van from Kent and driving it to Todmorden on day insurance cover. My understanding is that the van will need to be taxed immediately before I can drive it home. Is it the case that I pay the DVLA the £325 annual road tax at the point of sale or can it wait until after I've got the van home?

Any advice is much appreciated.

I'm not sure, but you don't have to wait until you get the truck home to pay road tax. You can usually pay this tax at the point of sale or online on the DVLA website before taking the car on the road. Hope it helps you!
