# VandogTraveller

> VandogTraveller is the personal site of Mike Hudson, who in 2013 quit his engineering job, converted a rusty 2003 LDV Convoy van into a fully off-grid home on wheels, and has lived and travelled in it ever since — 10+ years, 26+ countries, 47,000+ miles across Europe and Morocco. The site documents the full DIY van conversion (electrics, insulation, plumbing, gas, joinery) and life on the road, and offers a van conversion ebook, a vanlife book, and an online van conversion course.

Key facts: converted the van in 5 months on a self-taught budget build; 270W solar with 230Ah batteries; Propex heater; travelling since 2014; featured in international press including Inhabitat, USAToday, The Guardian, TravelPulse and Lonely Planet.
