Croatia has 8 national parks, covering an a total area of 384 sq. miles. I went to 2 of them: Krka and Plitvička (see this post).
Let me show you some of the Krka national park in 7 photographs…
Over the water and through the forrest
Along the Krka River
Home to 18 different species of fish, 10 of which are unique to this region
And to Skradinski Buk
This is probably the most popular part of the park
You can swim here
There is a massive clear natural pool
There are 17 cascaded waterfalls
A total height of nearly 50m
And many views like this
This is further up the river to a place called Bristane. I camped up here for the night
And this
This is the Visovac monestary on the small island of Visovac, which is about 170 x 120 meters in size
After here I went to Pag island (see it Pag Island Croatia by campervan in 6 photos) and then to the Plitvicka national park (Plitvicka National Park Croatia by campervan)
